- I received this truck from Paul Bible about 6 years
ago. When I got it, the bed had been removed and a slant six was under the hood. It was
last used by the California Civil Air Patrol and was painted Purple (some of the protected
areas looked like metalflake!) I had to strip the paint and have fixed most of the minor
dings. All of the cab wiring was missing so I hand-made a new harness using an aftermarket
fuse panel I bought from RB's Obsolete Parts in Glendale. The combat rims came from Jim
Pea and the tires from John Smith. Right now the truck is at Jim's Pea Patch Ranch in
Concho where we installed the new drivetrain. I now have all the pieces to build a new bed
and will start on that on the next trip up there.
